Coming to iPhone
Snap your lesson book. Play it. See every wrong note.
LessonKeys turns a page from your piano lesson book into falling notes. Connect your digital piano and practise the exact piece your teacher assigned, with every missed note shown as you play.
Three steps, then you're playing
-
1
Snap the page
Take a photo of the page your teacher assigned, or import a PDF. We read the notes, and you can fix anything that looks off with a tap.
-
2
Play along
Notes fall toward the keys in time with the music. Slow it down, loop a tricky bar, or practise one hand at a time.
-
3
See every wrong note
Plug in your digital piano and LessonKeys hears exactly what you played, so mistakes show up now, not at next week's lesson.
Your book, not someone else's song list
Most piano apps teach their own catalogue. Your teacher assigned page 34 of your lesson book. LessonKeys is built for that page, with method books like Faber, Alfred, RCM and Bastien in mind: finger numbers, two-hand layouts, the lot.
Made to help your teacher, not replace them
A short daily practice nudge that names your piece, gentle tempo challenges, and soon a practice summary you can show your teacher at your next lesson.
Questions
What do I need?
An iPhone and a digital piano or keyboard with USB or Bluetooth MIDI. Most digital pianos from the last ten years have one. iPad support comes after launch.
Does it work with an acoustic piano?
Not at launch. Hearing every wrong note reliably needs the keyboard's MIDI signal. Microphone support for acoustic pianos is on the list.
Will it read my book perfectly?
We're working hard on it, and we'll be honest when it isn't. If a note is misread, you can fix it with a tap before you play.
How much will it cost?
There'll be a free tier and a 7-day free trial of the full app. Waitlist members hear about launch pricing first.
When is it coming?
We're building it now. Join the waitlist and you'll get one email when it's ready.
